This third-generation PowerStroke has a new 36,000-psi fuel-injection system featuring injectors that can measure and spray fuel up to eight times per stroke to optimize combustion. To handle the increased pressure and power, the PowerStroke features a stronger block, cylinder heads, connector rods, and bearings, plus new steel pistons.
