Some of the weight savings from the all-new high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy body were reinvested into heavier-duty frame, axle and suspension components, providing for an increased maximum front gross axle weight rating (FGAWR) of 7,500 lbs. that is best in class.

Engine - 7.3L 2V DECVT V8 Gas Engine
- Design a gas-powered V8 built for strenuous duty, hauling heavy loads day in and day out, built to idle for long periods of time, and give it durability, performance and power. The result is the overhead valve, port fuel-injected available 7.3L. This big-block "pushrod" V8 with variable-cam timing reaches peak power with optimal air-fuel ratio in the low rpm range, providing the responsiveness and power commercial applications require. And for the durability also required, the 7.3L features a cast-iron block with four-bolt and cross-bolted main bearings plus a forged steel crankshaft. Want the biggest gas V8 with the highest gas torque output, rated at 350 hp and 468 lb.-ft. of torque, available in a chassis cab?* This is it.
Upfitter Switches
- Six standard factory-installed auxiliary upfitter switches include two 40-amp switches (ignition on or off) plus four 25-amp switches (ignition on). What's more, the switches with fuses and associated relays are integrated into the overhead console/storage compartment. Upfitter switches are a convenient way to connect a variety of aftermarket accessories (such as a winch, lights, strobes, two-way radio) to the vehicle's electrical system. Because they're factory-installed, there's no need to cut into the truck's electrical system when installing accessories. Convenient, easy to use and reliable.
AdvanceTrac® With RSC® (Roll Stability Control™) and Trailer Sway Control
- Super Duty® comes with standard AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll Stability Control™) and trailer sway control. AdvanceTrac and RSC use gyroscopic sensors and apply a combination of reduced engine power and selective wheel braking to help maintain control of the vehicle and the trailer in tow./li>
